Cad would be nice. I think there is some views floating around, but a nice side by side could be useful.

I have never seen any springs other than Tahoe and some Japanese one way back when used. We now have the coilover option, but a stock takeoff springs from another vehicle could be interesting.

I believe a Yota snorkel is partially completed as an adaptation to this platform.

JK bumper was added to one.

JKS swaybar links for a JK have been used.

Look at AlekG build for some adaptation info of other parts as well.

Moderators, I just realized that this thread is very similar to the Frankenstein thread that I have posted to. Feel free to give me ten demerits and merge the threads as you see fit.

I did have a bent stock tie rod, that was what led me to the 2500's. I bent the 2500 rod this last time out, but I also chalk that up to being an eBay Chinese tie rod. I will spend the money and do it right this time.

Matt, what were you doing when it bent?

I know Erik was aired down and slid off one rock onto another, and that tweaked it, it was also a China cheapo TRE.

I'm sure we'll find out within the next year or two how strong our steering rack is with more guys with lockers, bigger tires and a heavy foot.

I think the risk to the steering rack is why it's probably safer to have a weaker TRE that can break. It's an easy fix, if you break the steering rack on the trail, not such an easy fix.
Once lifted 03 Trailblazer on 35's, gave it up to travel the USA with my family.

My stock tie rod bent in the rock garden at the Badlands. I fell off a rock and into another. The 2500 rod was bent on an extraction or of a mud hole. It wasn't a strait out extraction and the tire was during flush against the side wall of the pit.

Sent from the road.

Here's another item to add to the OEM upgrades. Ford factory metal diesel fuel tank skid plate. When the tank is replaced with an aftermarket fuel tank, they factory unit is usually set aside or thrown away. With new arms, this becomes usable on our vehicles.

I do, year wise, the one I used was 2000+, though I'd guess any of similar body style would work.

I'll post a few pics on it in another post tomorrow sometime.

SNIP....

My questions to the sister plant have come up dry. I know they built these frames there, I actually have a T-shirt given out by the company with the H3 on the sleeve, they were worn by associates that worked in that area of the plant. I will keep digging but I think they may have dumped the drawings already, they are only required to maintain them for life of the product plus 3 years. Sorry if I got anyone's hopes up.

Anyone know of a sealed or sealable air box setup that could be adapted for use with a snorkel? A new in-line air box is going for $80 and pulling something from a yard seems like it may be a cheaper route.
