Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

What did you do to your GMT today?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

The axle remaining in my local yard is a 2004 8.6/3.73/G80. If anyone is interested let me know. $150 gets it out of the yard. I can deliver to the east coast at TECORE for a beer contribution.

Tried to do a simple oil change n washer nozzle fix along with general checkup on the truck. Should a never touched it.

Rock chip in windshield is now a crack in front of driver.
Pass ball joint is toast n couldn't get right kit to change it. Tried w hammer...fail.
Upper control arm bushings done for. Where's cheapest replacements? Arms or bushing...figure bushing only not worth effort.
Found more spots of rust that need attention... everywhere!
Tie rods have way too much play so gonna need to swap them.
Couldn't find power steering leak.
Realized about every other fluid is due for change.

Few positives...fresh oil, nozzle working, skid for oil n transfer case pulled for leak location and repaint. Skids have done their job.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Its all well earned, but not the way I wanted it to go. Truck has been performing amazingly, but it needs to have everything done as it was a few years back. Good thing I got a lil bonus at work.

I'd like to thank regulator for giving me a big hangin switching out my open carrier diff for a g80 diff. It went pretty well broke a few bolts and busted a few knuckles.. In all reality I think we spent more time drinkin beer and bullshottin than swapping axles.

I helped put a new pinion seal in the green truck today, and my friend Dave helped me put a new CB in my truck a couple days ago.

It looks like Friday will be a good day of parts collection, I am going back to help a buddy pull an 8.6/G80/GU6 for $95 out the door. I will also be grabbing a pair of spline disconnects for $30 each, provided they come out in one piece. One is out of a Ranier (all wheel drive sleeve!) and the other from a Trailblazer. The Ranier has leather interior that is in excellent shape, so for $100 I will probably pick those up to replace the worn and cracked leather that I have in one of my trucks.

The Ranier is new in the yard and hasn't been picked over to much yet. Anyone looking for anything that I may be able to help with?

$100 for the skin or for the whole seat?
This is an aggressive post. You probably won’t like it. It is quite doubtful that you have the taste or sophistication to be able to appreciate a post of this quality and depth.

His girlfriend says we even look alike and could be brothers. We're pretty similar people. It is kinda creepy.

And for the record, this is what I am aspiring to now. 99% chance my truck stays stock or very close to stock.

Black Envoys on 33's are sexy. 06-08 Denali with the 5.3 V8. coilovers/skyjackers.... I could go on and on. Need less college debt and more full time employment. Will hopefully be remedying that situation this summer.

That is for all of the seats. The front seats are $25 each, and the 60/40 is $20 for each section. I ended up leaving them, on further inspection the rear seats had some cracking and small pieces of leather missing. The back seats are the ones in the worst shape on my truck and the reason for replacement so these don't help me much.

I installed a new Steering Wheel Position Sensor. Turns out replacing the steering wheel position sensor doesn't mean you will get rid of the steering wheel position sensor code. :wallbash:

I ordered headers and catted Y pipe.
