82-93-- s10 1st gen was barely over 10. 1994-2004--2nd gen was 10 years. Virtually nothing was interchangable between them.

I wouldn't say invalid. The longer and more popular the platform is, the better it's chances. 20 years of blazer vs 7 of Trailblazer. Easy math.

Its more 1982 throwaway models vs 2002 daily drivers. Easy to chop up 1000$ beaters.

Blazers were not the same platform for 20 years. The gens are likely as interchangeable as our Trail Blazers vs the new overseas trailblazer. Its 7 vs 11 or 12 years. Still a decent difference but I wonder about production numbers.

I just spent about 20 min trying to find S-10 production numbers. My google-fu is horrible, tonight. I'd love to have another 93, 2.5l, 5spd! My favorite vehicle I've owned.

I moved from CA to Wa on orders for the navy. Roadie what you need is a "fully auto tax credit" or something like that. It means that you can own fully automatic weapons (with more than 10 rounds )

Not sure of the question but 1st and 2nd gen s10s have a lot of interchangeable parts. Granted it was the correct platform. 2 wheel vs 4 wheel. As far as the body panels don't have to state the obvious.
I've had my share of s10s and still have two left a 4wd and 2wd both with sbc's...

Wheels interchange directly, but what else? I have had a about a dozen of them between the two gens. Suspension is similar but not swappable. Drivetrain is kinda swappable, like fullsize 5.3 and 4l60 are kinda swappable into our trucks. Frame different, obviously body different.

I loved my 88 2 door 4.3 4x4 blazer with its little swampers and glasspack. Will build another one day. Shoulda kept the 94 1st gen 4 door blazer I had. Woulda been a great one to build. Bolt on SAS and go.

Good looking S-10. However, what internals? The interior?

I do know that some 2wd rims wheel did not fit over the 4x4 hub, so I guess the wheels really are as interchangable as I thought.


But really I think you just reinforced that little is a direct swap between gens. Cant swap drivetrain without mods, cant swap body parts at all, frames are different. 2nd gen had so much computer crap that retrofitting it to previous gen was a bitch. Just like I said. You can mod parts between them and swap, just like we do for our platform.

I had a 94 S10 blazer, it was the last year for the ole box bodies in the S10 blazer, really liked that truck. If I was as capable as I am now I woulda just built that and I wouldn't have had much of any reservations. I regularly wonder WTF I'm doing with the trailblazer though.

I have looked at so many H3's and H3T's that I like. It's a shame they are still so cramped inside. It's funny when you see an H3 in person it doesn't look smaller than a Trailblazer, but it is.

Surprisingly the Trailblazer is bigger than most smaller SUV's yet still not as huge as a Tahoe on the trail with a better turning radius.

Heck when I was looking at Taco's with a campershell as an idea I realized I'd be reducing cabin space.

Here you go get one of these, it seats 10 so should have more than enough room for your plans and it has good ground clearance other than needing sliders. Color is nice.
