Stock Suspension/ Leveled Pics Please

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

by Teach » Sun Jan 12, 2014 4:43 pm

Like the title says I'm looking for pictures of rigs that are stock suspension or moderately lifted.(and off road capable of course) If you could give specs that would be great as well. I am looking for inspiration on my build and I know I don't want to go to high but want to see what a stock height rig can do.

Mods if this isn't the appropriate place or an appropriate thread for this forum feel free to move/delete.

I will show off mine. Its bone stock and all I have is a poser pic as of now.

I don't have a pic to post, but I think a quick run through the Mall rated section would give you an idea of the smaller lifts.

Currently my only "lift" is running 30.5" tires, 1" over stock.

I have done this but just thought it would be nice to have pics consolidated. Plus who doesn't like picture threads.

Well bring that rig out to the Badlands and lets find out this coming weekend! lol I believe everyone else there will have a winch, you're in good hands! There should be a spring Tecore as well.

To be honest, I reccomend skid plates for either, especially the radiator.
It's not how fast you go. It's how quick you get there. Lifted TBSS Build

Well we already have a picture thread: viewtopic.php?f=25&t=2042 or viewtopic.php?f=62&t=825

Example: Dirtyd - Markmc lift/level kit

This post is going to come off as kind of asking us to do your own homework. Something frowned on here. Matter of fact, I have two such photos in my own build thread. Also, you can view some of the trail reports to see some photos and details of what stock rigs can do. There have been a few TECORE's that were stock passable. :thumleft:

Lot's of leveled only trucks on GMTNation. I think most folks here go to a 2 or 3 inch suspension lift for starters.

v7guy gave you good advice.

Mikekey I checked out that thread and most of the builds are not posted. I'm sorry if this is "doing my homework". I just searched and didn't see another thread like this besides the one you linked which is lacking.

Either way it sounds like I started a crappy thread so mods please delete.

Teach, what is lacking in that thread? I mean I know not everyone has posted a pic there, but it should give a good idea of what they will look like. The only real lacking part is the information is not there, but it is in the build threads.

Is lacking in participation. I have no problem clicking on a link to find the info. But there are close to 200 build threads and only 39 responses on the picture index. I'm not complaining I just was wanting to look at some rigs easily.

Edit:

I really hope I'm not coming off as a jackass or lazy. I am just new and trying to figure out the community. Every forum is different. I just re read my posts and could see how someone could see me as either. I have no problem looking through the build threads. That is what I have been doing for two weeks now. I just had an idea and posted a thread. Sorry if i was not in jive with how thing go.

Some of us are only mildly lifted at this time. There is a thread that lists all of our specs. Well those that provided the information. The mall rated are just those that have not posted anything off-road capable.

I just re-read your initial post. I think what the miss interpretation was, your first portion is you asking for pics of stock to mildly lifted rigs. But the second relevant portion is wanting to see them in action so you can evaluate off-road worthiness of stock and mild lift.

If this is correct, then what you are actually wanting to look at isn't the build threads per say, but more the trail reports that will give you information on what has been done by stock and mild lift vehicles so you can then go to the build reports and see what is needed to accomplish the tasks you feel you should be able to do.

That or I missed the mark on what your intent is.

Yes you are correct I was wanting to see what a stock or leveled TB was capable of. I will check out the trip threads thanks

BartonMD did some pretty good wheeling on with his before the Radflos. If I recall he had a mild spacer and possibly stiffer springs in the front to level it up but skids, bumper and winch to protect and get himself out of trouble. I think he showed you can do a great deal of wheeling with these mildly lifted with the right protection.
