Smittybilt GEAR Seat Cover Review

Just wondering how you're liking these so far and how the seat part is holding up not being strapped down. Or if you would rather have bought the universal now that you've had a chance to play with it some.

All you thoughts on it would greatly appreciated especially pros and cons.

$89 from 4wheelparts during one of their sales (finally got around to picking up the second one today ). One seat cover comes with 7 miscellaneous pouches, by the way.

I stopped by a Military surplus today and snagged a couple more pouches along w/ a handgun holister, not that I could use it per say, legally

I'm really digging the storage. All the various flashlights, headlamps, camera and some maps now are stored behind my seat in easy reach yet tucked away. I have my spare knife on the left side of my seat with another pouch front and center for other miscellaneous items (currently cell phone, tire gauge).

I didn't know they sold handguns at Holister!?

I plan to apply for my CWP once we elect a new Sheriff that actually respects law abiding citizens to carry concealed weapons: Vote http://www.sheriffjay.org/. Till then it's just a waste of paper and time as 99.99% of applicants get denied in San Diego County.

On the OpenCarry front, I simply don't trust cops enough to actually understand/care about the law and NOT harass me; let alone the majority of ignorant citizens. I just don't have the patience.

More power to the people who do and I admire their determination!!!

I know these are only listed for Jeeps, but they're pretty generically fitted from what I can tell.

They are very cool. id like to get a set my self, but need a few more mods on the truck before I go and buy something like this.

Ya know I got so much spare/duplicate/extra MOLLE equip. (Occupational hazard) I could probably make these. hmmmmmmm Now I have yet another project for this winter.

I was thinking of maybe a small single pouch for up front just a small flashlight holder or something on the side of the seat. I carry an extra ASP between the seat and the console now. But for the rear bench would be really nice. Back in the cargo area would work better for me since I haul the kids in the back seat already. Will post pics when I get it. I got lots of ideas already forming.

Thanks for merging them. I searched but I didn't see it b/c i searched "G.E.A.R." instead of "GEAR". I'm definitely getting a set of these I think.
