I'd like to officially introduce a new group to ORTB. It's called the Subject Matter Expert group.
The initial group of members will be Mike (bartonmd), Kevin (wink), Michael (Dirty Bacon) Randy (bgwolfpack), Mike (Dirty Anton), and headed up by Kyle (Hardtrailz).
I think we've got a solid group with knowledge across the board, and locations across the map. I think we will see some good development and progress from them, which will keep ORTB striving forward towards our overall mission:
Provide the most comprehensive and accurate information available to aid users in understanding and choosing the proper modifications for their goals. This group has been tasked with trying to improve the knowledge base and new-user experience of this forum. However, at this moment this groups exact definition and goals are also very undefined. That will be another task for this group, to define how the SME group will operate, and what it will do. They will have their own section of the forum to discuss these things and develop articles, stickies, whatever, before making them public. This forum is visible to the general membership, but not accessible.
You will easily be able to identify the SME's by their orange names (except Bartonmd since he's a vendor, unless he chooses to go orange), and their "Subject Matter Expert" tag.
Depending on how the group develops, there could be potential for expansion in the future. So keep that in mind when replying to troubleshooting threads and new member intro threads, etc. You may be able to prove yourself worthy.
Anyways, I'm looking forward to seeing what develops from this brain trust.
If you have any thoughts or opinions about this group, please let me know, even if you're new and have 1 post. I'd like to ensure that we remain transparent, and open to suggestions and development.
Thanks.
