When we first got started experimenting with the first lift we had pretty close to stock size tires. They are 30.5 inches. And we were averaging pretty close to 18MPG in the city. I think I even posted a picture here earlier in this thread. Basically just by hypermiling the car. Which means driving like a grandma, slow take off's, very light on the brakes and gas. Coasting to stops if need be. Never going over 55mph, and turning the engine off at lights. Along with no AC.

It also helps that you live in Florida. No, not another joke-- your roads are incredibly flat. My MPG in Georgia is 16, here I'm getting damn near 19 w/o AC, but no hypermiling either. Exhaust sound gets the better of me from lights

And for the record, I've never noticed a change in gas mileage with ac on in my truck. Granted its never on much, but still.

Why do people assume FL is flat? It's not. It's pretty damn hilly actually. Especially Clearwater. I know, I ride my bike to work, it's not flat!!! Granted it's a little more flat near the coast. But the middle of the state is pretty hilly.

It's not an assumption on my part. Pensacola to Panama City, Naples to Miami to Jupiter, etc. All flat (and great gas mileage!) I've actually never been to middle Florida, except for Orlando (which is flat, IIRC). Then again, who goes to middle Florida anyway?

Wow, this is with AC on, and not just recirculation? I find the recirculation gets plenty cold in my truck, so it's never on unless I want it colder.

Heck I don't have to worry about the AC. The bearing went on the pulley and I replaced it with the Bypass, That's why they invented windows Plus Michigan never gets all that hot anyhow But unless your like me and leave the windows down when trying to get unstuck

Yea up where you live it dosen't get that hot. Down here we usually get multiple days with high 90's or 100's with 100% humidity

Heat and humidity + pregnancy = A/C use full time. Add the smokers who surround the vehicle in bumper to bumper traffic and you get recirculating A/C. Combined with stop/go traffic for 6 miles, and 10 miles over the bay with a typical strong cross breeze......you get the picture.

Really need to take the G8 out this weekend and familiarize myself with stick shift again, not to mention handling 400+ horsepower. Rather see 21 mpg than 11 mpg.

I think you need to start doing some hyper-milling or you got some big problems with your TB.

Not even close to lead foot I cruise at 55-60

I got 12.8 on my last tank.
I figure it was due to 32s, 3.42 gears, short trips and a good bit of hauling the boats.

with no hauling, 55mph, taking it easy and not a lot of stop and go I think I get about 17 mpg but nothing better.

i'm at 16 mpg pretty consistently with 265/70/17s and 3.42s.
