The bridge in this next pic is US1

When leaving you got to floor it if traffic is bad, access to this area is off a 70mph hwy.

Rory, you are standing west of US 1 when you took the picture of the bridge, right? When we lived near 40/42 we would put our boat in off of 42 and run up to the fork and take the left fork.
I seem to recall up near US1 it getting rocky, is this the same area?
Seems like we could get our bass boat pretty close to US1 and then that was pretty much it!
A little further down there is an old mill or something right on the river, I think there is a lake/pond above it but water would run out the side of the building. That was a pretty neat site. That area was one of my favorites to fish in that river.
If we took the right fork, it would take us up toward Jordan lake but the area wasn't as pretty so we always took the left fork. I didn't realize that was Deep River.

Looks like there could be some good surf waves, even though its on the lower spectrum, of what I normally like to hit. With some water, you should be just fine in a canoe.
