This is the same shit talking that goes on in every circle. I've talked plenty of trash about guys who have mirror polished undersides of their Corvettes and just trailer them to shows. I can't relate to that, because I like to drive mine. I'm sure most of us can't relate to a giant truck like that and where it would fit into our lives. Most of the ones I see around here belong to shops or guys who just like to hang out in parking lots. All the contractors and lawn companies usually have stock trucks from what I've seen.

Don't forget, region plays a part in what is "tasteful". Donk rides are big in the south, low rides on the west coast.

I have zero use for a vette n no desire to own one but dont shit talk them whether they are driven, trailered, or in pieces. Most owners of them do not use them for what they should be either.

It's not a fully linked rear. Guys use track bars on leaf rear suspensions so that when they do HUGE lift blocks, the axle doesn't wrap under load, and break the drive shaft.

I'm aware, however I don't see a front spring hanger and I do see another yellow bit that looks like an upper link. Need more pics to be sure.

Also wonder if it has a front driveline.

With that much lift block, you won't see the spring hangers. They're up behind the body.

recent trip to GWNF

I see it is raining. How'd you guys make out? Looks like a cool photo.

It was difficult. But it was nice getting to see all of Vepco rd. Then going back through to make it down at night in the fog was an experience. Maybe I need some fog lights in the bumper.
Actually the night would have been really nice if it had kept at a light rain (like in the picture). We were under trees and relatively shaded. The driving rain made it rough. We probably shouldn't have been out there. But I wasn't willing to drive out in the heavy heavy rain and the fog. It was an educational experience. I think I need a tarp to roll off my roof rack to shield the tent some if necessary.

That's true. And I usually have 3 or 4 tarps in the tool box when I camp. If it rains, one under the tent so a river doesn't flow through it, one under the rain fly, and one or two more for anything really. It's a good thing you actually had a tarp or two.

I don't think we could have got out to be honest. Between the extremely heavy rain and the fog I think the safest option was to deal with it. If it got much worse we would have got in the truck. But the truck was loaded with bugs from the misses keeping the inside light on and me unloading equipment.
I had two tarps and i think 3 or 4 should be the minimum after this experience. I'm also skeptical that fog lights would help given the terrain where the front end is frequently point at the sky. But I'm still considering them.

There's a lot of small things that could of made this better. But under the circumstances I think I was as prepared as the inexperienced could be.

I post my difficulties in the hopes it will help someome else.

A shot from about half way up Crystal Creek, here in Missoula Montana, in March. One of the only pictures I have of the Trailblazer, I snagged it while we were up on the mountain teaching my 7 and 9 year old how to shoot a .22 Rifle. Figured I'd share a view of where I tend to roam in the woods.
