Ya'll don't have any front recovery points. You probably wont need them but if you ever felt the need before you get a bumper, You can flip your current bumper upside down, run the bolts up through the bottom, and use the tow hooks on top as the nuts for the bumper bolts.

Yup, I could if I hadn't of made the mistake of throwing away the tow hooks last June when they wouldn't fit with the radiator skid.

hacked off the trashcan today, sorta welded on a new tip, mostly finished up the hilift mount. got to test fit it in the morning before paint.

Normally I do. My wife seems to think they just got lost when we moved houses as the bumper made it to the new place. We actually rode around side last July with no bumper, just plastic. EKK.

I was going to attempt to come up with something, but, avoidance has been a good strategy so far... knock on wood.

I won't be going back out west without a bumper and winch though, that's for sure.

not sure what is different about my radiator skid (from TrailShaman) but I was able to mount my tow hooks back on the bottom.

Yours is probably notched for them. Mike posted about it, I forgot to ask and didn't own a cutoff wheel at time.

Took the day off from work to assist my step-dad in finishing up and installing the rock sliders. We're bolting them onto the frame instead of welding so they can be removed if ever needed. So far, so good. Just tedious work.

Yeah, they are a bit pricey, no matter how well made they are. I can get a full set of chrome headers and sidepipes to slap on the vette for only a few hundred more than Kooks was asking.

I like the sound though. Noticed during the recording that was open header. Have you decided on a muffler?

I wonder if that center bar that looks like a pipe would work for a tug?
You might be able to loop a strap over it and between the radiator skid in a pinch.
I can't remember, if the "pipe" is open all the way, you might be able to run a strap through it.

If I recall, the pipe is somewhat open all the way. It just has the mounting sleeves on each side, semi-blocking the tube openings.

Can't really grab it from the back, as I recall the airbag sensor mounts back there.

We mated it up to the muffler that's been on it forever. Just a 2 chamber Flowmaster 40 clone.
