Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

What did you do to your GMT today?

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Surprised. I thought the directions were easy to follow. I used hand tools and a sawzall and knocked it out in about 7 hours by myself. Steering was a bitch for me to get hooked back up but rest was not so bad.

Gosh we found it pretty easy to follow. Not to bash MarkMC's lft but the font on his directions is horrible and barely legible. So we relied on comparing it to the zone instructions. They're almost word for word in some places.

The fact that we skipped the bumper also made things go faster.

Truck looks good. any idea what size wheel you plan on running?

the bumper mounts were the hardest for me with the Zone lift.
I have noticed what appears to be a little play in my steering extension. Anyone else notice this?
I need to crawl under there and re-torque the nuts.

Well yesterday I rolled it, well, firm flop on the drivers side.

And today, I just wheeled it.

I'll most likely go with a 285/75-16. Seeing as I have a little bit of time before I need tires, I'm trying to save some bucks for some new 17" rims but still stick with the 33" size tire.

Save your money do your rims and tires at once. It's the best feeling, like Christmas morning!

At least you can actually change that seal yourself on your truck. I need to drop my diff to change those seals.

yeah, it isn't too bad. Getting the axle out was the hardest part for me.
It should be easier next time.

Damn $84 is a steal! I paid $48 just for a fender the other day!

That's one key benefit of this vehicle. Cheap parts.

You got a rear end and tow hooks for $84? Or am I missing something?

No, had to drive almost 200 miles for it. Reason I got it so cheap was showing him that the other axles he had were G80's and this one was just a open diff. After agreeing that lockers are more expensive he let me take it for $75+ tax.
