On the way home from playing Airsoft with some friends I saw this and Had to jump out and grap a picture. I've never seen one around here before. There was 2 of them "Terra Gator 2505"

You Fool! I made it right through that just over a week ago like it was nothing. Tires never spun or anything.
(PS) I recieved a text saying "I need help" from Cody.. I had told him it was rutted up like crazy and not to go up there.. But someone felt it was a good idea. Not wanting to get my truck's tires muddy where I'd have a traction issue I backed about 50 ft away and ran the first (new strap) through the tow chain area, then over my trailer hitch. I then used a very heavy duty clevis and linked another 20' tow strap to the other one, then I got my logging chain and wrapped it around Cody's tow chain area and then around his trailer hitch. I slowly tightened up the slack and pulled him out, without even getting my truck dirty! lol. My tires never spun or anything. However in the process I thought I felt something weird when I was pulling him out.. Turns out I straightened out the link that goes from the chain its self to the hook. I noticed this after I pulled him out.
Since we were in the middle of nowhere I brought my carry gun (always have it on me) Glock 23 .40, Glock 17 9mm, my Rock River L/E restricted AR/ M4 with an ACOG scope, Quad rail system, Front fore grip, and 200 lumen tactical flashlight mounded on the side of one of the rails, 6 fully loaded mags for the M4, plus my new Marlin 22 LR that I recently bought for dispatching nuisance wildlife. (had to dispatch a raccoon that someone had trapped and it was severely dehydrated.. This was inside of a neighborhood, nobody even came outside that's how quite my 22 is .
I think Cody could hear me coming... not sure how or why though :-" haha. Oh.. Wait that was a fire truck that he heard coming!
We made it home after going through a detour because of the annual moonshine festival that they have in downtown Dawsonville but we both made it back. I never even had to put my truck in 4WD!

Clevis between straps becomes missile if one fails. Loop straps and use a stick or magazine to keep space to seperate them later.

I just cant bring myself to use a chain at all after seeing one embed in a tailgate and another bounce off a windshield. You woulda been better to get dirty tires and back up closer so you had less risk.

Still dont get the L/E M4 thing. I can buy an M4 any day I want at the local gun store. My buddy bought two last week. Why is it special?

Also seems like overkill for weapons when it is an area you are familiar with " I made it right through that just over a week ago."

Might be useful in those neighborhood situations. Was really cool to see targets(cans) bouncing when you could hear nothing but a lil snap. Said he killed a squirrel with one.

Pretty sure it's an M4 that was produced during the ban era, has (LE/Military use only) stamped on the side. Course now anyone can buy 'em.

Yeah no restrictions on them here in Wyoming, most all the used ones in our gun shops are marked LE/Military. Mine is marked as such and I dont notice anything special about it.

Kidding aside, the fact that you deformed a link in the chain is not good. That means you were beyond the working load limit of your chain. This probably means your chain is a POS and should be replaced.

And look, I'm all for carrying. But why mention it? Anyone that carries shouldn't do so to make a spectacle and tell about it.

After a day of SAR training with the team
