That was actually my primary concern, aside from the possibility of the coilovers breaking... I was paying attention to the noises and feel, so that I could be ready to stop and hope to catch it before the whole thing let go, so I could just weld it back on.

Just an update on these. As per SOP, there was some stiction on the valves/shafts/seals when new, but now that they've got ~1k miles on them, they really ride a lot nicer, and hold the road a lot better over mid-corner bumps (they were already better than the Bilsteins + 87's from day 1). I'd say that at this point, even though the spring rate is much higher than the 87's, the ride quality is actually better than the Bilsteins + 87's, even without the winch on the front.

Overall, I really, really like them!

Gonna take a day off and have Essentially OffRoad install them, since i dont have the tools to do so.

So after a full day of driving it rides smoother ....Bare with me while i try to explain.

Before the coil-overs i had an 82(driver) and a 83(passenger) with the bilstein hd shocks. Everytime i would hit a bump the whole vehicle shook. But with the coil overs it hits the bumps and then shrugs them off like nothing happened.. I love that. Sure i feel the road a lot more, and takes the curve a lot better with less body roll..

This weekend i will be getting it up to 70 or so... Will see if that has helped my aero a bit more that being a nose down air ram.

BTW how much lift did u get out of the adjustable part?
I had to have some install them for me as I don't have the tools to do so.

I'll try to get a pic tomorrow when the sun is out.

I had them set it for around 1.5" of lift, and then I adjusted it to ~2.5-3" of lift after I got out of warranty this summer. Changing it was as simple as jacking the thing up, taking the front tires off, and using a spanner to adjust them.
