Z71 springs sag

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

These coils have failed after 7 months of being on my rig. I do not load a lot of weight into the rear, except my spare when I wheel. I only have markmc 2in lift puck in the rear no top spacer. Has anyone else have had this problem or know about this problem?

Took three years to sag mine out, but I have the Airlift1000 bags in the middle to assist. You might consider that next time. At least they're cheap.

Yes mine are sagging too, haven´t installed the airlift bags until now. When doing the axle swap they come in. Maybe we have to do some more research on other springs.

Pretty sure, you have them in upside down too. The blue end is suppose to be on top iirc.

Mine don't sag yet but I've only had them on for a year and a half.

I was looking into those, but I don't haul much weight at all. So I was skeptical at first but since I noticed this I'm thinking twice about the bags.

I've had mine installed since July 2008. I don't think I have any sag yet, but I've not really paid attention. It has always just looked right to me. I've had the steel bumper on there for a few months now, too.

I don't know any technical reason that the springs need to be one way rather than the other, but I'd love to hear from one of the resident M.E.'s

The blue thing is a noise preventer because the Z71 springs are progressive, meaning the spring rate changes with compressed length as some coils collapse and touch each other.

Wish we had more members using the Skyjacker C25R springs to give long term reports.

Did you try rubbin some viagra on that thing? Didn't even notice they were upside down

I think you should get the skyjackers, that way we can have another guy that rarely posts with them and we can still remain in the dark about what they're really like.
