they are easier to park in the mall parking lot than a Tahoe, thus they fit on tighter trails.
they are cheaper than a Tahoe, thus more money for mods/trips.
there is no offroadtahoe.com, you don't get these guys with a Tahoe.
Honestly it depends on your needs. If you go with the 5.3 V8, I expect much of the drivetrain is similar (engine, tranny, 8.6 rear). The I6 is very reliable and has plenty of umph especially with a tune.
If you need the space get a Tahoe, if you want to go on tighter trails and easier to park when not wheeling get the TB.
While we likely don't have the amount of aftermarket support that a Tahoe would I would say there is enough support to do most anything this IFS platform can handle.
If I were to be in the market for another SUV, I would likely get a V8 TB EXT(aka wiener dog) because I could use the extra people space.
