Well, you can give up on the sound a bit, TTops Maro sounds more than good enough i'm sure...

I'd rather have an LS1 in the TB too, but of course it's too expensive and time-consuming to be worth it... not to mentioning, much more likely eat the tranny.

Well, doesn't the ls1 and tb share tranny's? The 4L60E? Maybe we should just swap a T56 into my truck...

I had 5 s-10 or blazers w 4.3 and I think my 4.2 sounds better with exhaust. The idle is not as badass sounding, but off idle the 4.3 never sounded that great to me with exhaust.

Becuase our trucks have are inline, DOHC, and VVT we get a much different noise out the back then a traditional v6 would have. Ever listened to an old chevy truck with a 250 Straight 6... Even without DOHC and VVT, it sounds alot like our trucks with whatever exhuast is rigged up to it.

I think that one of the best sounding exhausts I've heard is Aleks, or Mario's old one (magnaflow muffler).

i will probably go with what i had on my last truck. the flowmast hush power series muffler. or something like the 60 or 70 series.

but then again i am tempted to try some new muffler that i have never had, just too see what else is out there.

I'm glad I looked around the forums before posting up this same thread. I was just thinking "who the heck would offroad with the big tin can in the rear?".
So I guess I'm just going to cut out the res and throw on a tip.

I've seen your video before Doratus. Love the sound of your trailblazer, you jsut replaced the stock muffler with Flowmaster 40, hacked off the resonater, and make-shift dual?

What was the total cost in the end?

Yeah, well it was a present from my mother who worked for Flowmaster at the time as an accountant. Then it was installed by her boyfriend, the sales rep for Flowmaster. So I really couldn't even give you a ballpark figure. Wish I could, sorry.
