Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Death of a TB

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

by NY_TB » Sat Mar 17, 2012 3:40 pm

Last night around 1:30am i was on m way to my friends house to drop him off and up ahead i saw a black hoopty ass civic driving southbound, and im heading northbound. The civic moves into the truning lane then into my lane, so i swerved out of the way but she hit my whole drivers side and demolished my rear quarter panel. i did a full 360 and popped up a curb. Meanwhile the civic kept going and im surprised the engine didnt blow up cuz hit was popping the rev limiter like crazy. Long story short, the girls license plate fell off and the cops tracked it to a house right down the road and when they got there the car was in the driveway and the girl wasnt home and the boyfriend didnt know where she was. Bulldinkies, she was upstairs in a closet. thats what i think. Me and my friend are alright but the TB is totaled... :x As of now the police are gonna find this woman and im gonna have some money in my pocket to buy another. Man i loved that truck... only 7 years young and 96000 miles on her. Trucks can be replaced but people cannot.

People run from accidents all the time now a days. My hunting dog was killed by a hit and run driver a couple years ago. They know they hit it but refused to stop. i don't understand it. The complete lack of care for other people and animals for that matter.

Yeah most people dont care about anything anymore. Last summer we were detoured through a neighborhood for a business fire or something, and the car in front of us ran over a black lab pup that was in the road, never even slowed down. We stopped and helped it and its owner. Kid had accidently let it out the front door when she was going in, and seen the whole thing happen to her puppy. Was pretty crappy I think for the driver to not even slow down after running it over. Lab pups arent very small either.

Sounds like she was drunk/high and trying to cover it.
Either that or the BF was driving her car while she was out.
I read a statistic a while back that something like 1/3 drivers on the road after like 11pm are impaired and I think between 12 and 3am it is even higher.

We will never know if she was on anything that night unless she admits it. So i cant say she was drunk or high, for all we know she could have been on perscribed meds, but it is what it is and theres nothing we can do.

Did everything end up working out for you?
Gas is at the right price and this is the right season to be buying a 4WD SUV. Should be able to get a good deal.
