Bedliner the entire floorboard front to back?

I know bedliner has been talked about and used by some of us on different parts of our trucks....But has anyone done the florboard yet? I know it's popular with the Jeepers, I just took all the seats out today to clean the carpet good and thought it would be nice to be rid of the carpet.

Anyway Rhinoliner,Herculiner,Rustoleum,Dupli-color which is best for the $$$, I'm not sure how much it will take but the Rustoleum !gal for $60 looks like a deal if it's good quality.

Info on any of these bedliners from someone who has used them would be a great help, may do this next weekend work schedule permitting.

You should check out the stuff i'll be using to cover the whole outside of my truck eventually. U-POL Raptor liner. Not as thick and heavy as the other competitors...and color matchable if you want a certain color...I bet putting down any of those linings would also help a bit with sound deadening.

I'll have to check Raptor liner out I knew I was forgetting one of them, I thought about color matching, I know tan would match my interior but was thinking it would just seem weird, On the other hand there is no color that black doesn't go well with.

It is stil my DD, as in I can't really afford for it to be down too much, but most of my driving has gone to the Impala I bought in January. But my wife drives that to work so if she's working I'm in the TB.

I only put 22 miles on my TB in the 3 weeks after Country Fried Weekend, I drive it more than that normally but alot less than I use to.

I was just thinking about cutting out the rear carpet stuff in the hatch area - it smells like wet dog, death, and a rusty bath tub. I just don't know how to go about it without wrecking it.

Remove the anchors in the cargo area and it shouldn't be a problem to remove, may need to take a utility knife and cut behind the seats. Might work better if you take out the rear seats so you can cut it so the seem is hidden. Not much holding it in just tucked under the plastic sides.

I used monstaliner for my jeep yj and my little brother is using it on the outside of his yj they offer colors also and are uv permeant I will be ordering some soon to do the outside of my truck but Im waiting for them to release some new colors in a few weeks before I order.

The carpet has a seam that is just under back of the front seats. should be able to just pull it out after you pull the rear seats. Thinking about doing the same thing.

Cool product, but damn $$$$ the highest price of all the bedliners I've looked at $134.00 for a ! gal kit. According to their site I need the 2 gal kit $239.00!!!

Yeah it's a little higher but I really like the quality but I hear the raptor is very nice also but thats the only DIY one that I have never seen in person so not sure how they compare

I'll be ordering 4 gal to do my truck and cap and inside the bed

It might get really hot above the exhaust and tranny hump, and it will definitely be louder. But knowing from experience; with my jeep in hot Florida summers it is still bearable... You can always use something for a heatshield around the exhaust if its too bad

I would ne concerned with wiring and such that runs under the carpet. How much wiring do have hidden under there?

also, make sure to do some research on whatever you decide to use.
I used to scour the jeep boards a lot and it seems UPOL was very highly regarded and duplicolor would get tacky when hot.
I can't remember either way on the herculiner.

I remember seeing that upol was liked better in many cases because it dries harder than Herculiner or equivalents. Whereas the other ones get that rubbery tacky feel, upol stays hard like a normal paint with the same durability benefits.

Good point I'm gonna look under there monday, If it's a wiry mess I may just do the cargo area but we'll see.

There is some kind of matting that has some insulating/sound deadening qualities, I don't remember the name. You could get some to put in certain areas (hot spots, and over wires) and then line over it. Carpet absorbs a lot of sound, you might notice without the carpet that the truck is louder.
