camshaft timing solenoid

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

Has anyone replaced one of these? seems simple enough but if you ran into trouble or picked up some tricks could you let me know?

Ams oil products bumper to bumper, Treadwright Guard Dogs, 3 inch suspension lift, 3 inch body lift 1.5" spacers, swaybar trashcan mod, quad headlight mod

You have to get the power steering pump out of the way, so if you haven't changed your serpentine belt it's a good time to do that also. Only one bolt holds the CPAS in. Dorman makes an aftermarket replacement, but experiences posted on trailvoy and GMTN have not been all positive. Use AC Delco.

I don't know what brand mine is, I got it from NAPA and thats all it says anywhere. The part its self has no markings on it at all. Thank you for the tips
