FIRST stitching test of a digitized vehicle! The logo is trivial by comparison. Video uploading now to youtube of the work in progress. It's about 4" long.

Wow... I should dust off the not-so old Husqvarna and take a crack at learning that! Tell Mrs. Roadie nice work!

Awesome! 4" is a tad large for the back of a hat though, isn't it?

Scaling is pretty easy, but I think she was sizing this one for polo shirts first.

More details as she flew out the door for work - the vehicle is 5" wide. She's almost done digitizing the TB side view, since she did the Envoy first for me. There are 17,000 stitches in the pattern, but thread color changes are done manually so every shirt can have the owner's own vehicle color on it. (She has as many spools of colored embroidery thread in stock as I do tools and spares for the trail)

She hasn't seen hats that lend themselves to having stuff on the back like this. Anybody got links I can show her?

Her intention was to have the large vehicle on the back of shirts, with "OffroadTB.com" on the front.

Other suggestions for logo/vehicle sizes and placements?

I guess I thought it'd be cool to have a small (1" or so) TB on the direct 90* side of the hat. Kinda like the american flag is on this hat:

Looking good, Bill...

I'd be up for a solid color TB on the back. The color option is cool, but I'm thinking I'd go with solid white... maybe 1" - 1.5" wide

Here's a pic of an example hat...

DCM is doing a great job promoting this site over yonder. Lots of chatter about her new pics.

How about Bill's favorite phrase on a shirt:

Roads? Where we're going we don't need roads..

Btw, on the Boone's Farm subj., what he neglects to tell is that he was the first person to reach Ellington, purchasing his wine before everyone else got there.... :raspberry: I would have been more than happy to have bought it for ya Bill :slap:
They gasped the first time I got it dirty... Then fainted when I came home with scratches... Pff, City slickers...

She's got a client today, working all day I think on tennis towels with a custom logo. She's finished digitizing a large TB to go with the large Envoy she did first. It's a trivial job to do 1.5" silhouettes of the vehicles without much detail - maybe just an outline. More news after she finishes up this well-paying client.

Spare tire cover is cool, but I like my Trasharoo better. Haven't written it up until I get more pics tomorrow.
