I got a 0" back spacing on the Cragars. I figure the rims themselves would look weird with less (like the stock TB rim set clear out near edge.) It made the tires out wider. It looks mean... but not so subtle anymore! It's growing on me. Stability and mud slinging will be very apparent when I get a chance to outside the city walls!

do you mean 0 offset? On a 8 inch rim that would be about 4 inches of backspace.

yes, sorry.... 0 offset. dead center of rim. looking back on it i probably could have done a different offset, done away with spacers and accomplished same thing. However, i wanted some options in terms of rims (got conversion spacer to 6.5 first)

Which backspacing did you get? The 4.5"? Looking into these...
Didnt see the 4" backspacing.

these are really close to the same rim for $55, they might have too much backspace for most.

These would probably make sense... if i had to do over i'm not sure i'd want them sticking out as far as they do. However, the slightly narly look with a little wider stance is probably not all bad!

I chose the steelies for 1. cost 2. thought black looked cool 3. like idea of banging out if bent. I probably wouldn't have done rims but liked the 255/75/r17 rubicon tires so much i had to get 17in rims to make it work and liked the look/cost combination
