Poor college student looking for quick connect anderson plugs for my new winch. Unfortunately cannot afford a $35 to $50 set.

Thanks!

I'm sorry, but isn't that like somebody saying they can't afford to change the oil or put gas in their brand new car?

And by the time you buy adequate wire and the connectors for the top terminals on the battery because you can't use side terminals for winching for the most part, it's no longer a huge benefit to buy the connector bodies and contacts alone. And then figure out how to properly and reliably crimp the contacts onto the wires without the $500 crimp tool.

Yep I stock pile all my crimping on 2 and 4 Gauge and bring them with me when I go into the garage I work on my truck and have work done and crimp them there with the 500 dollar tool friends that are mechanics are the best. I am in to my winch setup now around 600. 365 for X20 10k Smittybult Winch 120 for Rugged Ridge Synthetic Winch line, 80 for Curt Receiver Mount, 25 for Quick Disconnects, and Fairlead 40. Its not cheap but its a requirement for a Club Run I am going to since I don't have a rear locker but i will never be stuck for 14 hours again now.

I just brought mine and Kyle's to work, and crimped them in the crimpers at work...

I put my terminals in a clamp, stripped wire and placed it into the terminal. I then used a propane torch to heat the terminal and applied solder until the terminal was overflowing slightly. They've held for a couple of months now.

Good example why we don't recommend deep offroading unless you have a liquid budget to fix a $1000 problem or get a $500-750 extraction tow.

Bill Perfect example Nick J and I were wheeling. I got stuck in a Clay and Sand mix. Sunk in above my 4WD disconect. The Disconect had frozen with a little bit of water in it and the actuator was dead. 400 for Disconect 200 for the actuator 200 for a tow out of where we were wheeling at 2 AM. Nick couldn't pull me out. Jacking the TB and trying to build a base out of rock and other items didn't work. Looking to build a Jeep now with my Tax Return to wheel with the club on days that the requirement is 33 or 35+ and Lockers. TB as a Mall Crawler, Farm, and the nice 32s and Locker days

Just to play devil's advocate, if you had recovery equipment and didn't have the budget for repairs, you'd be able to remove the disconnect and actuator and a few other components and just live with the thing as a 2wd until you could afford to fix it, plus you would have saved $200 on the tow.

Had plenty of recovery equipment except for a winch. Which even if we had I would have slid while trying to pull him out like the Jeep did. So what we needed was another vehicle and a winch...
