I really like the hammered color.... I use the spray on all the time, and have had a few things done in powdercoat. Would be the color I would want.... That being said, don't use it, can't have everyone looking the same as us :finger:

Mike

I was told as well as a thinner coat it also gets allot hotter, burning the powdercoat a little, causing it to peal prematurely

I think the plastic matching is great for most but i think white n black teucks need teue black.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

I agree... White and black do look good with the black...

Talking to the powdercoater last week, it would seem there is another option for greater durability than even the standard powdercoat... He said when he does wheels and such, that he really wants to hold up, he will powdercoat them, then he'll put a clearcoat of powdercoat on top of them... Apparently, the clearcoat powder is even more durable than the standard stuff, and adds another layer of protection to get scraped up, before it gets down into the color...

Normal powdercoat is $100 for a bumper ($125 for with center guard, $150 for with full brush guard), and adding the clearcoat would add $75 to each of those numbers...

Radiator skid is $75 to get powdercoated, and would be $125 with clearcoat...

Definately not NEEDED, and a little pricey (though, about the price you'd pay for normal powdercoat, locally), but it's an option, none the less...

Thanks,
Mike

New user. I own a white tb and would like black but the hammered black looks good. I would also like a price on your bumpers. interested in the one you got on your truck. Thanks Joe

The hammered didn't turn out the exact color I wanted, so I'm still looking... I can do a textured black, though...

For more conversation, please see the 2010 Group Buy thread for pricing, and send me a PM; but my bumper, with you providing the lights, would be $625, powdercoated black.

Thanks,
Mike
