You should remove it asap. It's the only real fix. Never question a dealer.mk3smitty wrote:...it is under warranty and the said my dif was blown due to my lift and they addvised me to remove it.
chevycrew wrote:4" lift? Thats quite a bit. Search on here, there are tons of threads that discuss the issues with being lifted.
bartonmd wrote:Bullshit.
Your front diff is broken partially because of doing what you're doing in that picture...
The only way I could POSSIBLY see the lift doing anything bad to your diff, is if it's the bearings on the output... Ring gear, pinion gear, carrier, spider gears, carrier bearings, etc. etc... All of those aren't caused by the lift... More specific information is needed.

chevycrew wrote:The point with me mentioning 4" is the angle that everything in the front end is at. Is that 4" of suspension lift, or do you have a body lift for part of that? Do you have any CV binding at full droop?
v7guy wrote:Do you mean you have a 2" suspension and 2" body?
Ive had problems with boots tearing, but the CVs are fine.
If you drown your diff and dont have a hose on the vent to keep water from pouring in you're not doing your diff any favors... or the places you wheel for that matter.
Still...chevycrew wrote:ok then its not a 4" block, but a 4" lift.
Info is king, it helps us, help you...
