Offroad Trailblazers and Envoys

Finally Lifting

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

by themightysteveo » Wed Nov 23, 2011 3:11 pm

After many months of bad luck, hard times and what not. The TB has finally seen a little lift! Started Today with Mark MC's 3" body lift. Planning suspension lift and attachment of Mike's Bumper and Armor kit on Monday. Only two pics posted in build thread for now. Had to stop today so my fiancée and I could meet with the pastor. We're getting married before we move to Vermont. When we scouted the area in Vermont, I kept telling her, "I wish I had my truck! I wish I had my truck!" there are a ton of trails, hills and general off-road area!

Hope you all enjoy your Thanksgiving!

Looks good Steve. Sounds like you've got a good plan going.

And I don't think that's a Megamule roof rack. Megamule is made by Bajarack, not Yakima.

Thanks JD. I'll keep you posted. It's branded Yakima everywhere.

JD, fixed build thread. It's a Yakima Load Warrior not a MegaMule.

Had some issues with the springs and compressors ( we started off with one type, tried another and then another) but, we made it work. Looks goofy on stock rims and tired but, I'm getting there.

Came up with an ingenious method to hold BartonMD's bumper together; since no nuts in package big enough for bolts, we used the recovery hooks from the stock set up. Will hold until I can get to ACE and pick up the M-14x2.0 nuts... Thanks Again Mike!!!

All-in-All it was a productive day. All that is left is; relocate rear bumper, trim wheel wells, add my buddy Ross' rims and tires, and wire the fog lights.

Been thinking about tearing out the carpet in the cab as well ( and specifically) in the rear. Duplicolor has a bed liner kit that should work.

I'll keep y'all posted.
