I wanted quad headlights, and my driving lights on with the high beams. But as wired on the OS, anytime the headlights were on, the driving lights were on.
This is a modified version of copied intructions as it was posted on the OS to fit my application and desired end results.
Parts needed: 2 diodes. Available @ radio shack # IN4004 1 amp Diodes,400V,30amp max return voltage. .99 - 1.99 for pkg of 2
This is all done in the Body Control Module (BCM) under the drivers side rear seat.
1) Disconnect Battery. This can be done at the BCM, 13mm socket.
2) Open up cover on BCM, uplug the upper and lower harnesses.
3) Find the Black/White wire in the lower harness, (High Beams) and splice the end of both diodes (silver or striped end) into this wire.
*Note, if you dont have driving lights, use only 1 diode.
4) Find the Pink/White wire in the lower harness, (Headlights) and splice one of the diodes into this wire.
5) Find the Green/White wire in the upper harness, (Driving lights) and splice the other diodes into this wire.
*Note, if you dont have driving lights, skip this step.
6) Shirink wrap or tape up all bare wires.
7) Plug harnesses back in and reconnect battery.
8) Test.
This will allow normal operation of driving lights when the headlights are in the off, park, or low beam switch settings.
When high beams are selected, both the low beams and driving lights will also come on. (or stay on if previously selected.)
