37" tires, 4.56 gears, 6200lbs, freeway at 75mph..... 12mpg.


Thoughts?

30 inch tires, 3.42 gears last I checked, interstate driving 320 mile trip, 65-78 mph 15.89 mpg.

Totally stock I was getting 15-16mpg in stop and go/short highway trips. Long trips on the highway got me 18-20.

Maybe I need to clean the old throttle body.

All stock, 160,000 miles, 4.10 gears, long stretches of 75mph - 22mpg. Any non-freeway driving drops that pretty quickly.

I have 3.43:1 & 255/75R17 and I guess I don't get as good of mileage as I thought cause I just ran out of gas 1/4 mile from the gas station.

30" tires, 3"lift. 3.43 gears, 23 mpg highway. As far as city I dont really know or care I dont do enough for it to matter.

Stock height and really piss poor going bald tires, 18.1mpg last week, had it up to 19mpg city driving yesterday after a tune up.

2inch lift and larger tires going on within the week or so. This should be interesting, since hypermiling has something we've been doing with the TB for awhile. I also run the UltraGauge in the vehicle to help me achieve best results.

Good luck with it Mike. In my experience, I didn't notice much decrease with just larger tires and a lift. The real killer for me was the wind resistance from the roof rack and RTT. However, the other day I got 18.5mpg (adjusted by scangauge) on a 2 hour drive (1 hour each way). I was pretty happy with that. One key is that the engine was already half warm before I started the drive.

We've found the biggest difference comes simply from how you drive. I almost.. almost bought Goodyear's FuelMax tires, but with how we'll we've managed just by adjusting our driving style, I figure the larger tires, which aren't going to honestly be that huge shouldn't hurt it to much. Right now, most of the driving is city for us too.

David, if you haven't done it yet you can likely clean your TB, replace your Tstat and your front 02 sensor and get some of that back.

32 all terrains, 2.5" lift, intake, tune 14.5 city / 17 highway / 8-10 towing 5k lbs

I think I lost my mileage with the heavier tires? I don't even have roof rack or anything like that to make wind resistance.
