CLEAR!!Time to revive this old thread!
Well, I've been a long time user of BDS parts. And by that I mean, a long time ago I bought BDS parts and they've been in my truck ever since.
Along with their 2" lift, I had the old white body 5500 hydraulic shocks for about 5 years and probably close to 80-90k miles. Surprisingly, the white bodies still work! They dampen real well and there has been no leakage. The bushings, however, have started to fade and I have quite a bit of axial/lateral play. So might as well replace the whole sha-bang.
I ordered the Fox 2.0 gas shocks and boy are they perrrrty. Unfortunately, one of the shocks doesn't self-extend. BDS has offered to pay for the return shipping and as soon as they get confirmation the defective part is en-route, they'd send me a replacement at no cost. This wouldn't be a big deal if I wasn't leaving for a 6000 mile off-road journey in 4 days. I explain the situation and they were super receptive and helpful. They end up "selling" me a new shock (meaning they just put a hold for the amount of the shock on my card) and get it shipped out today with 2 day shipping. I'll be getting a paid label in my e-mail for return shipping and as soon as they see the label is in-transit back to them, I'll get the full refund.
high-five, BDS
