Well done. I am now thinking leaf springs will be the way to go. Better setup than our stock and simple. Now that I have a daily driver I can hopefully get mine under the knife. It turned out great, again well done.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Not done, I still have a bunch to do.

but thats a negative on roof rack, light bar, or stickers... (Unless they are Ultimate Adventure stickers)

I have been modding the crap out of my car and this got back burnered a little bit.



Current to-do list.

Black box for manual control of trans
Upgraded cables for trans shifters
Reinstall front locker (warranty)

Wheel more...

hydro assist
bumpers
skidplates
etc...

Minor update.

Front locker back in and working good.
Trans shifting issues in 4 low resolved. I still only have 1st and 2nd in low-low, but I can live with that.
Service 4wd light went out when TCCM was removed.


Now:
Bypass brake and abs warning lights. (tired of troubleshooting and looking at them.)
Replace my t-case shift cables.
Slide fuel tank back a couple inches. (cut frame mounts off and move back)
Add a couple leafs to the rear.
Seal off where I cut the lower rear quarter boxes off.
Bumpers and exo
Hook up e-brake cables



Im hoping to put about a thousand miles on it for hunting this year, most likely on my 37's though.

De-soldering the warning lights may be the easiest way.

Yeah Iv considered that, but... If I ever register it in utah, the lights have to come on during the bulb check.

So most likey, Ill run jumper wires from the check engine light bulb, over to those bulbs and break their current circuit on the board.

Little more done yesterday and today.

To stop my fuel tank from rubbing on the second case, I decided not to move it back. It was more work than I wanted to mess with.

So I dropped the tank, drained it, (Fold a coat hanger over and shove it in the filler neck to release the check valve) removed fuel pump, filled with water, drained water, the got out the torch!

Just a small plumbing type torch (heat gun would be better!) These tanks are double layer: black outside, white inside. the outer layer melts rather easy, but it takes more heat to soften the white, so go slow! I ended up pushing the front edge back about an inch where I needed clearance.

Fill with water to test for leaks, drain, dry, re-install and good to go.

Bad thing, to pull t-cases, tank must come out. But thats only a 15 minute job.

You're lucky with the 2002, there is only two quick connectors. Those things took the majority of my time when I dropped the tank.

So I broke one of the first t-case shifter cables, so ordered some new from Midwest Control Products.

These are a little bigger!

Go for it! One of my requirements was to have the extinguisher within reach of driver and passenger, this was the only place I saw to do this.

I just had to say that the pictures on here don't do it justice. After seeing it in person this thing is unreal. It goes without saying he knows his stuff, but I was really impressed with how cleanly everything was done. Most rigs I see of this caliber are just pieced together, he did a good job with placement on his rig.

the cool part about it is it happened so fast too. It is amazing how much thought and detail went into it and yet it was done so quickly.
Shoot, it took me longer to pull the trigger on a used rough country lift and get it installed!

So I went and measured a stock TB tonight.

I measured 13 1/2 to the center of the wheel, and 8" to the lowest point of the oil pan drain plug.

Mine measured 23 1/2 to the oil pan plug, and 18" to the axle centerline.


In other words, I have 11 inches of lift over stock, plus a 1" body lift.
