yeah I dont understand that. Ive sold a few painted RC bodies on there and not only do I have to pay my listing fee and the fee based on how much it sold for, I also have to pay a shipping fee. Im shipping it not them.
It's easy; some people from china were selling stuff for $15 with $99 shipping, eBay did nothing to prevent it, my best guess is that they were planning to do this, this way they collect money from everyone. They say it's to encourage free shipping (which kinda makes sense to do, because it gives you auto 5 stars and you gotta pay those fees anyways). I sold some 35mm film, charged $6 for shipping, paid $4.something for a flat rate envelope paid ebay like 1, and like a penny went to pay for the materials.
Unfortunately there are no other good auction sites where I could sell stuff, otherwise I'd move. And even with all the money they steal from me, I can still make more money selling old textbooks that i would at the school's bookstore (which is an even bigger scam).
