Post body lift trailer plug location

I just installed mark's body lift and used zone's directions. I didn't see anywhere where it tells you to mount trailer plug after lifted. It notes to hold on to plug for relocation but doesn't mention where. I know I could get creative but was wondering where you guys mounted yours? I did some searching on here with no luck!

I got creative with mine. Anything should work there's no stress to that mount or anything. I would show you a pic but its dark out

I just let mine dangle. Not optimum, but since my rear bumper's totally gone there wasn't a good way to mount it in the plastic. There are plenty of higher quality 7-pin Bargman connectors with mounting flanges to put it in the bumper if you wanted. Easier to get at without lying in the mud.

I zip tied mine to one of the frame crossmembers.

Curious... why can't you use the stock location after a BL?

You have to cut it off because that real estate is needed for use by the relocation brackets.


I modified mine by creating a smooth edge, drilling a hole, drilling a matching hole on the cross brace between the frame rails, and mounting it there.

I toss mine up into the frame crossmember when not being used. It never comes out.

Sounds like zip tieing it up is a good simple solution for now. I might eventually buy a different plug with a flange and get creative. Thanks for all the suggestions and help!

The kit should have came with a bolt pack for relocateing the plug.
