MDB Quick-Disconnect Swaybar Links...

Look what just came in from MDB fab! A set of his quick disco's for the front to test out! Super easy to install and took the TB around the lock and couldn't hear much/ if any clunking and also super easy to disconnect/ put back on!

Yeah, I will be... I just wanted to get these fronts done and out to Nick... I haven't spent a lot of time looking at the rears just yet...

I think I'm going to just remove the rear sway bar all together, since it's been nothing but an anchor for me, for the most part. And with just the front connected on road it drives nice, but since I'd like to keep one sway bar for the road it makes more sense for me to have the front there, and just disco when off road.

I've often wondered what would be better, front or rear swaybar. My front has been disconnected for some time now, and my rear links are SHOT. I'm wondering if running the MDB links in the front and removing the rear would be sufficient. I plan on having a little more weight in back with the bumper now, not sure how that will effect things with the Z71 springs and BDS spacers.

Got pics or a description of the damage? The bushings or something solid? I'm worried about mine because of the high friction between the bushings and the spherical sockets they're in. Mike's got the sturdier design.

Surprisingly, the sockets and bushings are ok. The bolts running through are bent to shit and I am amazed they haven't snapped completely. For the time being, I'll probably just replace the bolts, but I am really looking for some way to eliminate that weak point.


Interesting theory about the front and rear bars. I would rather have the front connected if pulling the rear instead isn't going to have a negative effect. One less component hanging below the frame.

Since I've been driving with these for the last 4 days or so, and put on about 400 miles, I figured I'd give a quick update...

No clunking at all with these, possibly a slight noise but nothing I can hear over the MT's. I'm also really liking having only the front connected, seems to be more stable on road than with just the front disco'd which is nice since I do a lot of daily driving.

Also have taken them off a couple times to see how easy they are to remove and put back on and they are super quick to remove! Diggin' them for sure so far!

I have my rear perm disco'ed so the quick disco's for the front is awsome. They look great

Yeah, there will be a little bit of noise (that it's hard to hear over M/T tires) because the heim to pin is a slip fit, so it's not going to be 110% tight, or it wouldn't slip on and off... I didn't find it obtrusive, though...

Exactly... really can't hear anything, just stating that there may be slight noise, to possibly be expected, but can't hardly hear it anyway of the roar of M/T's. Just another awesome product for sure!

Well, one of my rear end links officially shit the bed last night taking a turn. Broke the bolt of right at the bottom bushing. So it looks like I will be pitching the rear bar and installing the front with smaxx links for now. These quick discos have moved up on the list.
