He's a terrible photographer...usually takes video of the ground. I need new friends.

The black section on the bumper is actully Herculiner. Alot of time and work went into it, and i've since had to remove said bumper due to necessity.

Price is up a bit since I ordered mine. Though not enough I wouldn't consider ordering another when I do the BL and order my replacement bumper.

Roadie, on your buddy and his terrible mileage, that could be gearing.
Those XJ's usually come stock with about a 28 inch tire, if they go up to 31s, they recommend
at a 4.10 gear ratio to just get back close to stock. They also have about 100 less hp than we do.

yes, 180 hp, you guys have 265? but the torque in those 4.0 I6 is ridiculous. My mom drives one and i can safley say its faster than your TB, it has balls and is geared really low.

290 hp factory. I have driven dozens of 4.0 and they dont compare in hp or torque.

The jeep guys are always jealous of my power and torque on the trails. I will gladly run mine against your moms 4.0.

It wasn't really meant as an apple to apple thing, but more of a different point of view. the boss' kid mentioned hates it bc of power and mileage. I love my mom's jeep and think its a torque house. I've also driven josh's 2002 TB and it's just not the same. It is powerful indeed but you certainty feel the weight, The XJ in question is a 2000 Sport 4X4. 3200lbs is correct. Also the jeep has pretty low gearing along the entire power train, not just the rear gears, if you take your foot off the gas at 65 in my moms jeep, its slows down, hard.. My truck just rolls for a while before even starting to slow, i know i'm doing the comparison thing again, but its more to better understand my example, but they do indeed get pretty poor milage, 19 city 22 highway. Although still better than my P/U.

and i've always loved Cherokee's. We had a 92' when i was a kid, my dad ordered it from the factory with beefier suspension and towing package. It matched my truck's towing specs, We used to wheel the hell out of that thing too, i would be strapped in a car seat laughing my head off as my dad beat the hell out of it, Our newer one just isn't the same, but both do/did have solid front axles and dana drive shafts and posi rears from the factory.

I weighed mine at work. I am under 4k lbs. empty. (Ok it had a 1/3 tank of fuel) it was 3900 and change. Its a DOT scale and needs to be calibrated w/in +/-0.5% or some such thing.
