There have been some requests for our body lift without bumper brackets and we are looking to gauge how much interest there really is. We are open to the idea of doing a 1 time special build of the kits w/o bumper brackets at a significant savings - about half price!
We typically will build 15-20 kits at a time so if we can get that many people interested in doing this we will build the kits for you.

For those of you that do want the bumper brackets, I can also offer a group buy savings of 17% for just 10 kits!

Here is a link to the kit: http://zoneoffroad.com/product?ki=191&gr=-1

Lets get some lists going!

Damn, thats hard to pass up. If we can get that many people, which I highly doubt, I'd be in for the bumper bracket-less kit.

If ten others want w/brackets too. IIRC it's the same deal offered at X-mas time. Now with the limitation of needing ten orders for the discount.

10 may be a tall order considering the membership numbers of this board and the number of folks who already have body lifts.

I wouldn't hold my breath for 15-20 people wanting bumperless kits.

Hopefully the recent influx of motivated newbies helps make this happen.

If there ends up being a group buy, I wouldn't mind putting out for one. Of course, I've told members that I'd buy things off them first. Just let me know if you get enough people

Ok guys,

So far it seems this is moving a little slow. I'm only getting 2 - possibly 3 bumper bracket less kits so far. Maybe the 15 is too tall of an order. Let's make it a 10 kit minimum for the bumper bracket-less kit and see if that helps.

reading through the install instructions it doesn't appear that you can use your factory tow hooks.
For folks not getting a recovery bumper what recovery options do you have?

There is one option, but it requires a little bit of fabrication. If I decide against a steel bumper, I will share with everyone.

I havnt looked at the instructions and it wont load on this comp (im at work), but why and how would you loose the use of your tow hooks? The hooks are attached to the frame, which doesnt go anywhere

They are attached to the frame and the impact bar. When you install the body lift, you have to cut and relocate the impact bar to reinstall the bumper cover. The second mounting point for each hook is eliminated, destroying the integrity of the hooks.

If anyone can picture the dimensions in their head, imagine this. A steel box the width of the frame rail and the height equivalent to the accompanied body lift risers, attached to each frame rail with a shackle mount welded on the outside. These would relocate the impact bar and allow for installation of the stock cover, while creating recovery points that come through the stock bumper cover locations.
