If you haven't seen the cabin air filter thread on the OS...

Trailblazer and Envoy related, but not off-road related...

I didn't... but I could. It literally took 3 minutes to put the things in.

Again, not my discovery. Credit goes to Bass on the OS.

I just installed the C15388 Purolator cabin filters in my 2004. No door on my TB so I had to cut off the panel. Used a dremel to get the initial cut done, then just pried the rest of it off with pliers. I've got duct tape covering the opening for now. I plan on getting a door soon. I also plan on taking the filters out in a couple of weeks to see how dirty they've gotten. I'll post pics then.

EDIT:
Now is a good time to buy one of these....

The Purolator Part # is C15388

Just put mine in. Thanks for the coupon Mario and thanks for posting the link Donny.

This is one time I wished I had an 02 though. That stupid door didn't want to budge until I called Mario for the secret. The secret is to drill a big hole in it, then just pry on that hole and break the door up into little bits.

What do the 2002 doors look like? I don't recall seeing anything for it to hook to other than the screw boss. I may pick one up, or maybe just keep the duct tape. For reference, the 2002 door cover is GM part: 52489412**.

**EDIT: It's 52494070.

James, the assembly is the same, the part # you listed is discontinued. The number you had given me a couple of days ago is current. Open your glove box and pull the spring so the box can drop all the way down, you'll see the slat for the door.

Turns out this part number is not correct. Just got my door in and it's for a full-size truck, which has a different shape than the TB door. Hopefully noone else has one on order, but if you do, cancel it.

The part number from the 02 apparently has been discontinued per my searching.

Scarabepic (sp?) had the same problem IIRC. Best bet might just go to a junkyard and pull one. Or there is a guy, not sure if he still has any left, on the OS with a few in the classifieds for $5 shipped I believe.

I need to get on this soon as well, anyone noticing any less dust yet?
