Did it again yesterday! This time Torque showed me a P0340 code to go along with it. To the parts store for a cam position sensor!
I did not get a CEL for this code. Torque lists this as a "Pending DTC."

Strange it didn't light a CEL. I don't think scangauge can read a DTC if it's not illuminating the CEL.

I discovered the bolt on my cam position sensor was not tight. I'm not sure if that was the problem in the first place, but I went ahead and installed the new one. Another trail spare.
I own too many vehicles now. Let's leave it at that.

These problems are reaching a plague inherency for many of us.
I've replaced all of these parts since the first mis.
Plugs, coils,air filter, fuel filter, MAP, CMP, OS, Injectors (what a bitch this is another reason for a body lift
) all with no effect and still only 1 code last summer PO302. Running out of things to replace. But yet I still have old fuel pump, VAP components and PCM.
Starting to get costly but interesting.
What is always interesting is how wonderfully the truck runs for the first three start up cycles after disconnecting the battery and reseting the PCM. I'm afraid this may be the real issue.
But no matter. I love this TB.

Checked the connectors on the #2 coil pack and injector wires?

A loose bolt on your cam position sensor could create a real problem I would think. It would be a very regular misfire though, right?
