Well that was interesting... Like driving around in one of thouse bouncey castles :lol: I need to get a panhard bar on here asap. The larger diff cover on the ext axle is going to get in the way, going to have to bend up some tubing a bit.

With Kyle's recent thread on swaybars, I'm kinda wishin I had some quick discos front AND rear now.

You really drove it without a panhard bar?

Didn't that basically turn the rear end into steerable wheels? :fro:

Ha, that's a good way to put it - and yes, it swayed like a mofo. I took it around the block a few times, that's about it. Suicide doors didn't even start the panhard bar yet. If they are true to their word, it should be sent overnighted tomorrow. If it's not here by Wednesday, I'll have to decide to hack up the current bar and trust my welding *yikes* or revert back to stock (the likely scenario).

Nice. Those look like the perfect length to kick the rear tires back.

And Gotrice I will order a set of these off ya in the next cpl months once I have some more spending $$. Spent much more than I planned the last couple of months. So maybe I'll just put em on my Christmas list.

But I am looking forward to how they hold up.

Just checked the tracking and the bar is out for delivery, day early :excited:

I'm still concerned that the extended EXT cover may be in the way now. Time will tell....

Did you buy a TA girdle or something?

Nothing fancy, but was able to reuse the purple cranium protector. But, the ext lid also sticks out further than the stock lid. So if that is within smacking range, I'll have to figure something out, like bend up some tube and weld it up, then cut out the center section where it might interfere. Of course, I'm sure this would smack something else.

Can't wait for the end of the day to get here... :hissyfit:

Well, the bar is on. I have about 2 mm between it and the ext case cover, yikes. Going to have remove the diff protector as its completly in the way, if I can find some replacement bolts. Anyone know the length and pitch of those suckers before I go remove one?

Mine are doing well. Nice bushings seem to fit and function right. Brakeline will need relocated to go longer but I wish they were a shade longer than the half inch extention. It seemed that no one else really wanted them. I know I still have clearance in the rear wheelwells with 35s and these helped with that.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

I'll most likely get some soon, would like to push the rear wheel back an inch. Prob get them for when I go 8.6" rear and up my tire size a tad.

Just haven't had much money to throw around the last few months after getting the bumper/ rad skid from Mike and then TECORE, vaca to Mexico and the holidays.

What would you say the optimum length over stock be? And 'gotrice' you still kickin' around?

I bought a set of 1" longer with the swivel type bushings .
Nice product , won't be putting them on till next week along with new bds gas shocks and 4" skyjacker springs .

Pics as soon as I get em on .

I just don't have much time to post anymore. I moved back in November, and then the holidays came so I've been pretty busy.

Stupid question ....
For the control arms : the end with the swivel joint , are those mounted towards the front or rear of the truck ?
Just about to put these on .

Also am I going to be able to coax the skyjacker cr25 springs in there new home without a spring compressor ?

Disconnect the rear sway bar and and shocks and drop the axle on a jack. They'll go.

Woowee I have the whole rear taken apart .
Upper and lower CA are off, Shocks are off, New springs are wedged in, and I had to unbolt the brake line clips that hold it on the frame .

Now I have to put this beast back together so I can drive to work in the morning :o .

Truck is back together :cheers: .

The Skyjacker springs added 2.5" more lift than my Japanese 2" taller than OEM springs .
The center of my rear wheelwell went from 41.5" to 44" . Was a little worried I couldn't fit out the garage door ,....fits by 2" :D .

The upper control arms were a trial by error install , switch em around till they seem to fit right . Had to yank on the axle with some ratchet straps to pull the rear into place . Didn't have a 21mm wrench, socket :roll: so I got by with two 13/16th wrenches . Tire is now centered in the wheelwell .

Lots of climbing around on the ground and sore back,arms,legs and knees but its all back together !

Pics to come as soon as I get my camera back .

:poke: How do your brake lines look? and you must have a pretty serious rake now
