It's wild they stole the entire bumper, but maybe just for the winch.

Have you filled a police report yet?? Get lots of pics and get the receipts ready, too. Sorry about the misfortune :(

While I have the same one you have, I don't imagine it to be very easy to steal... I have to take my grille off... then take my skidplate off... before getting to the main bolts - which would require an impact wrench.

But you're probably right, it could still get stolen... as with anything in a vehicle. Seems the biggest factor is where you park.

Hahaha yea all where you park, lol or break a part, or blow a tire haha , but I got a police report and I called the insurance but they won't cover it as auto insurance but will under the house insurance I don't know why, it just means lower deductible, :))

Yep... Items that are "personal belongings" are covered under homeowners insurance... Basically, anything aftermarket that you put on a vehicle is a "personal belonging."

Strange, I specifically asked my insurance agent about this, and he said anything bolted to the vehicle is covered by the auto insurance. Personal belongings would be items like the tools or a cell phone.

Different companies, different policies I guess.

When I was with Progressive, I had a car broken into. Their policy was the same as stated above, if it is a bolted on accessory they would cover it. Anything that was loose in the vehicle would have to be covered on the homeowners policy. The stereo was covered, the sub box was not.

Glad to hear that your homeowners will cover it all and you will save some on the deductible.
Twenty years from now you will be more disappointed by the things that you didn’t do than by the ones you did do.

This stuff made me have a dream that someone snatched my Surco off the top of my TB. Part of the dream said they stole my brush guard, but the other half it was there. I do remember for some reason I had my guns in the truck and they smashed a window and got to them. Crazy what your mind can think up when you're sleeping.

To steal my surco they'd have to know to remove both rack rails off the roof first, but this is an excellent reminder to lock down my Hilift, spare tire, and so forth before I go to any malls for the holiday.

The rest is covered under your homeowners or renters insurance... They'll take care of you...

Is your homeowners and car policy with the same company? Or are you stuck between two companies each claiming the other should cover it?

Good question! Standard, close to across the board, is that auto covers factory stuff, and homeowners covers "everything else"... Worst case, tell your auto to pay you to replace factory bumper, factory roof slats, and factory radio (which should come close to replacing your bumper, radio, rack, and winch, as expensive as factory stuff is)...

YEA TWO DIFFERENT COMAPNY'S and yea the total cost for the bumper only and window is 768+$ so that bumper cost, so what im probably planning is just to keep it stock looking w/o the bumper and rack, kinda like marks keep it a BroRunner lol maybe a body lift or a supplimental fuel system

I would try and press the companies to figure out with each other who is paying for it... Insurance is federally regulated, so they only way they make money is to not pay claims... Nothing to lose, really... Look through your covered/not covered documents for both policies, too...
