These parts are from my broken 8". Ring and pinion are already sold, and a couple things weren't salvagable. Several parts I bought recently from GM to rebuild the G80 and have less than 2K miles on them.

Prices do not include shipping.

  • LH & RH axle: Each had a nick on the inner button. They were minor and I ground them flat. Splines and bearing surfaces are in great shape. Sold.
  • Pinion yoke: $50
  • G80 Ratchet and Flyweight: $50 ($90 from gmpartsdirect PN 12471530)
  • G80 Clutch Pack: $100 ($160 from gmpartsdirect PN 12479036 for left side only, will send you all the clutch packs for both left and right side, along with wave spring, snap ring, and guides for both sides)
  • Bearing caps with bolts: $5 each
  • Parking brake plates and hardware: Offer
  • Parking brake cables, including front plastic retainer clips: Offer
  • Drain plug, Fill plug: Offer

Feel free to ask about anything else you might want that I may have forgotten.

How about the control arm and spring mounts? I might have a future use, but if want to keep them with housing...no big deal.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Housing is most likely going to the scrap pile. I can take the mounts off...it'll just be a pain.
