Does it really matter which channel we're on, to you? If not, I'd rather be somewhere around the middle, with many of us putting out twice the power we are at the ends.

Thanks,
Mike

There tends to be more chatter on the channels closer to 19. Plus CH1 is just easier for me as my CB resets to CH1 when it turns off.

OK, if there's a reason, that's fine (mine starts at 9 all the time)... There's probably more chatter around because it's a more effecient part of the band, but I didn't know we could get anybody out there, anyway...

We can change it if it becomes an issue. I never remembered it being one in the past...

That's because you weren't the one who had to stop, who couldn't get a hold of you, because you were out of range... :poke:

I am sorry to report, the mother-in-law problems are not improving, and we are still sitting in the hospital in Saginaw MI. I am a week into a hotel now, and it looks like I will be back up here again Monday thru Wednesday next week. Money is getting real tight, and I am going to be forced to dip into my TECORE travel money just to get bills paid and continue to eat up here. I am not ruling out making the trip myself yet, but if I do it will have to be as a passenger with Kyle, provided he still has an open seat. I will not have the gas money in order to make the trip with my own truck. Sorry folks, I know this is two trips in a row that I have had to back out on, unfortunately real life keeps getting in the way of fun. :hissyfit:

I agree, family first... but hopefully you can ride along.

James, do we have a set meeting time(s) for Friday. I remember you saying in the past the were two different times, and I will be shooting to meet for the earlier one so I have some extra trail time.

And you guys bringing some brews along to make the nights a bit more fun?!

In the past we've aimed for a noon meeting, and a 4 pm meeting.

Sure, bring a couple brews.

We're only an hour and a half away, so we'll for sure be there at noon...

Any preference as to what trails we hit?

We can do the same order as in the spring if you want... it seems to work well... or we can mix it up...

We can do meadow knob and flagpole... or we can skip them entirely and just focus on second mountain... and then explore deeper into the northern region come Saturday.

Or we can do meadow knob and flagpole on friday ... then just skip second mountain and dictum on saturday and just push deeper into the woods...

Thoughts?

I'd like to hit a few more challenging trails (rocks, water crossings, etc.). But anything works for me as I have never been out there and would like to explore. Plus I will have to drive home after all of this...

I'd say there are a couple challenging trails... Dictum is a rough one... the flagpole trail is kinda rough for a few miles... kephart (which is a dead end trail, so we'll probably run that Friday) is a little rough in some areas...

There is a lot of land that I haven't explored yet, mainly because I know the trails we normally hit are pretty decent. That doesn't mean there isn't some fun stuff to find beyond our normal trails... although we'd be rolling the dice a bit... it could be graded gravel... you never know.

Got my real rims and tires back on, but got a serious noise/vibration issue in the driver front hub. Found for 60 but not sure it will get here in time or 120 local. Sux to get more money running out the door right before the trip.

Got one ordered, hope it gets here if not...I will tempt fate and just go for it. Reviews said they ship quick and have good stuff, but it is the internet so who knows...

I got some nice steel to figure out how to load this week, prolly change oil, get some better bolts to mount tire to carrier, pop off roof rack...going aerodynamic for this trip..., pack a bag, toss camp gear in and roll out. I am ready for some relaxation in the woods.

Shows on UPS that it out for delivery, so it should be there when i get home. i bribed a couple friends with one of my homemade meals and regulator is coming down for his doctors appt tomorrow here in Indy so I have plenty of help. Was just making a list to load up and things to do so I can roll out straight from work tomorrow and have a relaxing drive there with room for a nap if I get tired. I wanted a better spare, but dont have time to get to my buddy's to pick it up, but at least will have something to get to civilization. I have 3 full sets, but are all different sized so the crappy stealie spare will have to do it.

I may be relying on some of you for things like shovel or hi-lift if needed. I will be packed up with bumpers and skid, so trying to lose some weight other places and figure ya'll will share.

Can't wait to get down there and relax. Work has sucked this week and a little time in the woods will be a blessing.

I hope we're good to go... Lis has been sick since Monday afternoon (non-FLU stomach/intestinal bug), and of course I've been exposed if it's something I don't have immunity too... We'll see how it shakes out, but she's got 2 days to get better, and I've got 2 days to get it and get better (exposed Sunday, so I should get it today, if I'm going too)...
