That's great! Anxious to see how the wheels work out. One thing I'm worried about is the slip yoke for those w/ the 8.6" axle. Roadie had mentioned he things the housing on the LWB axle may be about an inch shorter than the SWB.

I'll be able to take some measurements once I get a new axle ordered up, unless anyone with a LWB truck wants to help out :) Looking for the length from the yoke to the front of the axle tub.

teebes ordered the first pair with flex joints today! ill be making them this week and shipping them out on monday!

You're up and running now.

I'd recommend maybe creating a new thread for each of your products now (with normal bushings and with the flex joint) with pictures and updated prices listed in the first post. It's your call, but it may make things easier on potential customers.

New arms arrived. So purty I can't take pics :finger: Finally some free time in the garage today, hopefully they'll be on the truck tonight.

I'm worried about those brake lines though...

:Iagree: I think 1" longer (I'm assuming) are going to stress the lines when you flex it out.

I wonder if you can bend the hard lines rearward just a bit.

Just undo the bolt that holds them onto the frame... replace with bungee or spring... should be fine.

I had to undo both brake line bolts just for the install, yikes. I have about 3.5 inches between the tire and my sliders, seems like a mile :)

In other news, i ordered a suicide doors panhard like two weeks ago and still nothing, wtf :hissyfit:

How will it drive with only the control arms for a few days? i have tubing sitting here I can make a solid one, will just cut up my current one and use the stock bushings for now.

Very nice. When the back is feeling better I will pull mine and examine them for any issues, but am happy so far.
I hate to advocate weird chemicals, alcohol, violence or insanity to anyone...but
they've always worked for me.

Found this place that is local and seems to do everything in house (regarding brake lines): linky.


So question time.... Does anyone know the specific type of fittings our truck uses? I can scour the service manuals tomorrow for clues, if not. Regarding length, how much is too much?

Heading out for a test without the panhard bar. Will try to get some flex shots will minding the brake lines. Will also try to snap the driveshaft.
