Brake Line Length

BDS, ReadyLift, Smaxx... You name it, we know about it here.

All, in researching my lift options, I haven't seen much mentioned about this topic. I tried searching with no real results. My question is, in going with a 2.5" lift coupled with z71 springs, have any of you noticed any need to install extended SS brake lines? I know on my Jeep I pretty much had no choice because it would have killed my articulation. I'm not as worried about articulation on the TB, but I just want to make sure I plan accordingly.

I havent heard of anyone really needing the longer brake lines, I have a 2.5" lift and have flexed the snot out of my suspension with no issues. I'm building up to do the z71 springs but I am sure that wont make a difference. Just for braking purposes, I might look into ss brake lines and upgrading the braking system, but thats for a different thread.

Also not sure if doing a body lift would affect the brake lines, pretty sure the lines run on the frame, so it shouldnt affect them at all.

With 4+ inches of rear lift and no swaybars to limit articulation, I'm approaching the danger zone of needing longer brake lines. My ebrake lines were worse off, but when I got my 8.6" axle it came with the EXT ebrake lines.

From this point, if I go with longer rear control arms I will need brake lines, or maybe some creative bending/repositioning of the hard lines they attach to.

I wonder if Earl's makes a set of stainless steel ones... Google time!

No, there's no need. I have the exact same setup, and have been in no danger. I did, however, leave the little clamps that hold the lines to the frame near the rear wheels disconnected for that little safety margin.
