Since we all drive our rigs and don't tow them, distance and travel come into play.
How far are you willing to to drive to wheel? How far have you gone to wheel? How close to you is a place to wheel...legally? Do you travel alone, with other rigs, to meet other rigs or just fly solo?
Anything else someone wants to add...Do it.
I think this could be a good discussion, some of us want hard obstacles and tough wheeling, some of us want to overland, some of us just want to cruise dirt roads, some of us never really get dirty but want the capablility to... Just wonder what people have done or may be willing to do...
For me...
I would drive anywhere. I would drive to South America if it wasn't for time constraints and funding. I would love to drive through all 49 states and wheel as many as possible. However as of now, with life as it is, I honestly could probably not make more than a 1000 mile trip each way to a wheeling destination. It would need to be a well planned trip and would eliminate some trips before or after, but I think it would be worth it for the right destination.
I would have to say the nearly 600 miles each way to VA for Tecore is the farthest i have travelled to wheel. I am hoping to do it again soon! I have a ton of places within 2-300 miles i need to visit as well. TN was the best wheeling I have done. It was amazing being up in the mountains on trails that tough.
I have personal land and the Badlands about 75 miles away. In opposite directions though. I have Haspin and Redbird not much further. They are both offroad parks, but not as good as Badlands.
I generally travel with a group, but sometimes alone to meet with people. I feel ok going solo to my personal land, but no where else. I am sure i could find people at an offroad park, but I prefer to go with or meet people I know and trust.
