Well, the past few months, and the next few months are going to be and have been a little crazy for me. But thanks to Mike B's pushing, I'm trying to schedule in a little R&R in the form of some camping and trail riding.

TECOREIV
(Trailblazer East Coast Off Road Event)
Friday October 22 - Sunday October 24
George Washington National Forest
Near Harrisonburg, VA

Just a disclaimer: These are about the only dates that I can hold this due to work travel, anniversary, etc... then it begins to get too cold for camping. So if my travel dates for work end up changing, I may have to call off the trip.

I'm planning on doing the trip to the same area of Harrisonburg as before... there is still much to explore in the region.

Whos invited?
Anyone with an off road Trailblazer, Envoy, or other GMT360/etc. Some of these trails may be impassable by a stock TB (I will have plenty of recovery gear present just in case).

Whats the plan?
To explore and traverse the wilderness of the North River Ranger District. The event will be a two night camping trip. Please note that the campsites will be primitive (no running water, no bathrooms, no nearby assistance). We will stay one of the nights on Meadow Knob or on Flagpole Knob. The second night is still undecided, and may be chosen on the spot.

For a recap of TECORE III, check out the thread here: viewtopic.php?f=10&t=1029

What will you need?
  • a Truck (GMT360/etc)
  • CB
  • lift (suggested but not required)
  • all-terrain or mud-terrain tires
  • camping gear
  • enough food/drink/cooking supplies for the entire event

What are the rules?
The rules for TECORE I can be read here, the rules for TECORE III are similar: http://tecore.offroadtb.com/tecore-trail-guidelines.pdf

So please let me know your plans, if you're interested in coming, please say so... and do it early, as I can only allow a maximum of 8 or so vehicles to come.

Meeting location:

Exact time to be determined... (prob around noon)
Sheetz on Rt 33:
798 East Market Street, Harrisonburg, VA‎

Questions? Please let me know!

:safari: Lets have some fun! :camping:

I was hoping to make this round of tecore, but I dont think my tb is quite ready... need some skids and a full size spare before I can feel comfortable about going. I'll definitely be in for the spring time trip!!

I'm going with a stock height TB, rad skid, oil pan skid, composite GM gas tank skid, and AT Firestone Destination AT tires... and of course the G80...

We've had guys do this without a full size spare or skidplates. Just bring your stock spare (maybe you can get an oilpan skid minus shipping if Kyle brings it down)

Run just your reinforcement bar, and throw it in the back when we meet up... Avoid a "no-bumper" ticket...

Well, sadly... I have to be removed from the Confirmed list. The wife has an even on that Friday evening that she does not want to miss, nor go solo either. So unless some drastic change of mind on her part, I'm out. I've already informed her that TECORE V will be a definite, no way I'm missing that!

Sorry guys....

Can you find a stand-in for the event? Like a Mario-look-alike? A doppelganger if you will?
