White bumper vs black

Dumping ground for offroad Trailblazer or Envoy general discussion.

by HARDTRAILZ » Mon Aug 23, 2010 11:15 pm

I did not like the white before, but it was growing on me but something was wrong...popped off the bug sheild and it looks pretty good even though its dirty. What do yall think...FYI bumper will be color matched, not just white primer like now.

I spent 5 hours spraying mud off truck so you can see after cleaning driveway 3 times stuff is still falling off and nothing is really clean, but I think i like the look.

Tomorrow I'll Photoshop the bumper in black... If you keep it white, ever think about painting bug shield?

Looks better without the bugshield on IMO... White is different for a steel bumper. :thumright:

I kind of like the white bumper without the bug shield.

Looks better with the bug shield off. Did it do anything anyway?

 New color option for the bumper: candy cane!!

I think putting the lights in would make it look a lot better also. The bumper now is a bit bland and plain.

The white is growing on me. I think if yopu were to add those lights it would help set it off a bit better as well.

Get ur bug shield and paint it like i did mine. You can hardly notice it is there, and it looks great
(on my truck) hahaha.

I did a thread on painting my deflector on trailvoy, it may be in my build thread as well.

Not really thinking I would paint the bug shield. it really doesnt do much. It does add some size to the hood front, but i think it looks more sporty without the shield. It seems smoother without it. Plus in the winter the hood doesnt clean the snow off as eas because the big shield keeps the wind from hitting it. i took it off last winter.

Can someone photoshop the bumper in black with no bug shield.

I don't really care about the color... but one lesson I learned from mine, is to make sure you put a nice fillet on every exposed edge of the bumper before painting it. Sharp edges and corners are the first place that the paint/coating cracks... which allows moisture under the paint and begins rusting.

Ask me how I know. :?

I like the black/ grey better but the white doesn't look to bad either w/o the bugflector. And the white is def different.

I like it either way. The white highlights the bumper more, which is a good thing since it looks so great. Could be a pain dealign with scratches and the like. I think I'd color match it to my truck, but mine is much darker.

Either color make is look good, but I like the white a tiny bit better. If it ends up being white, paint that bowtie white too!! :batman:
