COMPLETED: Just some cool backroads in Parke County, IN

Sunday I took the woman out for an adventure and picnic in Western IN and snapped some pics to share. Some gravel/dirt roads, but nothing tough. Did get to see that the G80 was working and had to pop it in 4x4 for turning around a couple times in some steep field entrances that I did not want to rut up for the farmers.

Got some kinda cool shots and figured I would share. On to the pics...






































As you can probably tell, covered bridges are what the county is famous for. Only a few of them. Did one of 5 loops around to see some. Then stopped to check out Raccoon Lake State Recreation Area. No trails, but some nice camping spots and a beach to swim.

Those bridges are cool! I wonder what it takes to keep those things in good repair after 100+ years.

Those look like some nice bridges! What's up with the sign that says, "CROSS THIS BRIDGE AT A WALK"? 3-5 MPH?

I know what the deal is with that picture! It's a test of the G80. If it wasn't working, there would only be one.

Yep. Bridges are all obviously old and fragile, so they just want you to ease across.

There is some creepy stuff out there. I did an appraisal and when I went for the appt there were 3 coyote's frozen to the ground to be stuffed, a shed that had a sign saying Possum the other white meet and the guy was living in a 1/2 burnt down house. The whole thing was weird.

I wouldnt stop anywhere on those backroads.
