Yes. i hope to do it soon. I also came up with a functional idea for under the headlights and just need to pick up a couple things to get that done.

A functional idea? How about a line of driving lights? I think you can fit 8 or something close

Close, but it will not fit near that many. Cornering and fogs under headlights. The cornering will point out with angle of bumper for tight trails at night. Then maybe driving lights on the brushguard. I dont like roof lights. so it seems the perfect way to fill in the gap and get the lights I need.

I highly recommend Hella Micro DE fog lights.... I had many different sets of fog lights on my old car and these are by far the best I've ever tried.

But it's generally made for recessed mounting... eh, it's an idea at least.

I can fit a 3x5 light easy or mmmaybe a 4x6, so there are a ton of options. I have a couple sets and may just go with them for now, but keep hoping to find something that strikes me and i say...i want those.

I'm with you on the roof light thing. I really don't like anything up there to be honest. I'm working on a setup of four lights recess mounted in the grill, but I might have to lose the billet to make it work.

Okay, where we at with this whole process? Are you going to be able to mount it to a non-body lifted TB...I think in doing that and showing everyone what it looks like, you might have a decent amount guys lined up ready to buy one off you!

I'm a firm believer that when it comes to bumpers, grill, guards, and other protection type stuff, they are sold way over what they need to be by the big name companies. They figure that people don't have the inginuity and balls/dumbass to try to do stuff thier selves. I would rather have a home made job on my TB that anything from the big guys. I'd rather have this bumber more that a WAAG grill guard, and I want either Neil or CBI Offroad spare tire carrier...or I might make a knockoff of my own...i'm rambling...it's the Ambien speaking...sorry...haven't slept since I got back from the Trashcanistan...anyway....let see it mounted up to a non body lift...then I bug you about making me one!

I would also like to see it on a tb with no body lift. ALso, dont you think there should be some holes added for airflow in the center of the front plate on the bumper. Look at JamesDownings for a reference. I believe he did it because of restricted airflow concern for the power steering cooler down there. But kept the holes small so debris cant get in. For people in warmer climates, this would be of greater concern than for others.

just a thought.....since it is a prototype, and holes are easy to add.

Half the power steering cooler is behing the holes in the radiator skid. I dont think this bumper has any more covered up than the stock plastic. The dummy gauge on the dash shows the same. I just let the airflow into the radiator higher and lower than stock.

Thats cool, I get what ya mean. But JD should chime in and maybe tell if there was another reason he had those holes put in.

I run my Anderson power plug for the winch through one of those holes.

Its not bolted up, just sitting on the frame. It will give you a decent idea as to the look and the gap on the headlights though. The grill is sitting on top of the bumper, and would need to drop an inch for proper mounting. The bumper would need a bit of trimming to be able for it to fit correctly with the grill in place and to clear the plastic that secures the headlights and grill.

Well you got to keep in mind that the grill on the non 06+ LT's the grill doesn't dip down like the Envoy so I would think it would be different than whats pictured here....

I on the other hand have a 07' LT so it should be similar to yours. But I think it looks like a good fit. I def have to get on this list to get one of these.

Note: Mike, I know Zero asked if you could make holes for fogs, could it be for the shape of factory fogs? Even w/o the bracket to mount em, at least the right shape hole?? Just thinkin ahead since I use my TB for work and got strobes in the factory fogs...

But I'm not apposed to doin some cuttin myself if need be.

Yeah, the envoy/06+ LT will be different than the rest of them...

Again, this next weekend is the race, and the next weekend after that is TECORE... We may try and get a test fit sometime before 3 weeks from now, but try is try...

Dude this is awesome...just thought I would reiterate that...I know this is basically a "because you can" type thing, and has ended up being a "ooooooo can you make me one" type thing. So whenever you get it test fitted to a non body lift, is just fine! But I want one too! and would like to see on a non body lift...whenever you get time! Seriously though...good job!
