Ready for RCP ? Hope you can make it Bob. My first time there.

Gonna be a good day !!!! Can't wait. JD has given me some areas to hit there.

Roadie is gonna love this. I know how much he loves diamondplate :poke:

I just finished fabbing my front skid plate to replace the flimsy 10g stamped steel junk that came with my ride. I used 3/16 steel diamondplate. Picked it up for .20 a lb. The plate weighs 20lbs to bring the grand total cost to a whopping $4.00 for the steel. I would have rather used smooth steel but couldn't pass up that deal.

I am fully under-armored now. I picked up an engine/trans plate along with a T-case plate that buts up to the engine/trans plate and runs all the way down my truck to the gas tank. I still have the thin factory gas tank skid plate for now. That will be a summer project due to time constraints.

I have every intention on getting my sliders welded on before the 22nd.

That's an awesome skid, right there. Looks a lot like the flowmaster off road muffler. I hope to make it. But I need to armor up and get me some tires first and foremost. Other than that, time should be on my side.

MT or aggressive AT is what I'm looking for. Right now used with good tread unless I can't find anything before I can afford new. I currently have the option of 16 or 17 inch rims, sizes I'm open to are 265/75 or 285/75 for 16" and 255/75, 265/70, or 285/70 for the 17". The bigger the better. :viking:

WIll do JD.
Hope the rain holds off. My camera isn't waterproof

I'm headed out to bolt up my T-case plate and call it a day. It was supposed to bolt right up after drilling four holes in the crossmembers but as it turned out, I had to cut off almost a half inch on one side and widen 3 holes on the plate. For all the trouble I went through and $$ I spent on this thing, I could have made my own plate and pocketed at least a hundred bucks.

Oh, well. Live and learn.

Weather was great. Trails were great. Had a wicked good time today. I'll post some pix tomorrow.

We covered a good bit of ground during the 7 hours in there. I will say that some of those green trails seemed to be more blue and not for stock vehicles. I have a 3" SL and dented 2 of my skid plates and my rear diff skid was put to good use today. I drug that over many rocks :viking:
