Need a diagnosis please!!!!

Hey all!!! It's been awhile since I posted on here but I've finally gotten the TB to where I like it... But I have a bad issue (I think). I broke my serpentine belt in the snow the other day and put it in the garage. Just put a new belt on and fired it up, immediately heard a grinding noise and saw sparks flying from the lower drivers side. Looked at it and everything was spinning. Turned it off and can smell something burning ( the belt?). Can someone please tell me what's going on with it? Is the motor screwed??? LS i6.... Thanks!!!

Try spinning the pulleys by hand to see if one is bad

What Tommy said. Take the belt back off and spin each bearing by hand. Should be easy to tell what's doing it

What Tommy99 and DirtyBacon04 said above. It was probably a bad pulley that broke your original belt in the first place. Likely no real damage to the actual engine, unless you severely overheated it when the belt let go.

Thanks all!!! Took the belt off and the ac compressor seized up.... Got a 70" belt and bypassed it until spring... Running fine once again. Thanks again for the assist
