Interior 2nd battery venting.

Those of you who have a 2nd battery mounted in the cabin of your GMT360, how did you vent the battery? If at all...

The reason I ask, I will be purchasing 2 https://www.samsclub.com/sams/duracell- ... roduct_1_9 this weekend and intend to install the 2nd in the back for the ARB fridge. It's plenty easy to find how they are venting them for a RV, but not so easy for "our" type of install.

You don't have to vent it because it is an AGM and already sealed.

I have a normal vented deep cycle battery and haven't had to run additional venting in the cabin.

I used to have a regular old vented deep cycle back there, basically acting like a capacitor for my good 'ol highschool subwoofers. Could hear it sloshing around and everything, never caused problems though. Probably not EPA approved, but I'm not dead yet.

But, you'd definitely be fine with an AGM back there. They are completely sealed, and statistically much safer than the LiPo battery in your phone.

Ok, thanks fellas. There's plenty online about the need to vent them, but in most cases it's due to over charging being the cause.

I should be good as the controller will auto disconnect the compartment battery once it's charged.
